Question from Sara - Richard III biographies

This is only partially Tudor-related, but can anyone recommend some good biographies on Richard III? So far I have only read fiction ("Daughter of Time", Shakespeare's "Richard III") and Alison Weir's "Wars of the Roses", but I do not know where I should go from here. I would like to read about him from different perspectives, both pro-Richard and anti-Richard. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated!

My own favorite is A.J. Pollard's Richard III and the Princes in the Tower. There's also Charles Ross's biography (probably the standard academic biography of Richard III) and David Hipshon's new biography (published as part of Routledge's series on British rulers).

Thank you very much! I'll look into those.

The Sunne in Splendor by Sharon Kay Penman is wonderful. It is fiction, yes; but the author has done her homework. You can see, hear, taste and smell fifteenth century England. I wish we had a way of knowing exactly what happened back then, but we don't. It's all speculation. Penman's speculations are worth noting. Mary

Paul Murray Kendall's biography of Richard III is also good. It was one of the first to deal with his entire life, as opposed to merely addressing what happened to his nephews.
