Question from Patricia - Elizabeth I and Dudley's Death

I was wondering where Elizabeth was during Robert Dudley's death... I can not find anything off hand that states where she was during his death. I am curious also of her reaction to his death. I did read "Robert's Last Letter" but I am interested in more...

Elizabeth was at Whitehall Palace when she received word that the Earl was dead. It was here that she received "His Last Letter", which was found in her bedside box upon her death.

It is said that Elizabeth was so postrate with grief, that she locked herself away from her court for three days. Eventually, her bedroom door had to be broken down, on the order of Cecil, Lord Burghley.
