Question from Rachel - Tudor necklaces

I have seen the Kathryn Howard portrait gallery suggesting that Kathryn and Jane Seymour were wearing the same necklace. The necklace in the Mary Tudor/ Charles Brandon portrait looks similar. Is it possibly the same necklace, or was it just a popular style?

I think that was a popular style, since there are Holbein drawings of designs for similar necklaces and there is at least once surviving necklace that als looks like the on the Jane Seymour portrait, etc.

I picked up a book for £5 on one of my trips to England (I only remember the price because it was a really good deal!) called "Tudor and Jacobean Jewellry" by Diana Scarisbrick. If you're interested in the topic, it is worth seeking out.
