I have come across information that an Agnes Bewitt Beupine married to William Edwardes had an illegitimate son,Richard, for Henry VIII and that is how the family recieved Edwards Hall in Wales. Henry never claimed him, as Agnes was already married. Does anyone know about this?

King Henry was my great 13th grandfather and I was told by my family Agnes and her husband was in charge of taking care of King Henry the 8th hunting lodge and King Henry had an affair with Agnes and the baby was out of wedlock therefore illegitimate to the throne unfortunately or my family would more than likely still be in England LOL but instead we are here in Arkansas LOL

Are you sure it was the name Joseph? Thomas was born in Hartford Connecticut. Thomas married Isabella Downing They had 8 children. Robert, Joshua, William, Thomas,Leonard, John, Jacob, and Martha.

Agnes Bluett was the direct descendant of Edward I, through her mother’s line, the Grenville family. Her father’s family, the Bluetts, were Somerset/Devon gentry, owning several manors that still exist today. It’s difficult to find out much about Agnes. The name “Beaupenny,” intrigues me, because it certainly isn’t a surname associated to her ancestors; I wonder if it was a nickname. I am descended from Agnes and her husband, not through her possibly illegitimate son Richard.
Would love to know why supposed, self-proclaimed descendants of Henry have still failed to take DNA tests to prove their claim. My maternal gr-grandfather Edwards was a supposed direct descendant. Thee were (and ARE) other direct Edwards males such as himself. A YDNA test should clear-up the claims one way or the other.
Doesn't matter though. Common sense and knowledge about Henry's actions and the actions of those around him and after him make it clear that any known illegitimate son would have found its way to the throne.
It was actually during the Boleyn period, my family and now myself have had the title given of Layard Edwardes of Chirk ever since. I have the original coat of arms and letters patent available to view. Not only that but the world changing achievements of this incredible family.

This Layard Edwardes of Chirk thing has been handed down to me after centuries. I have the letters patent of the coat of arms for the family which anyone is able to see, from the Royal College of Heralds 1622. Chirk has our arms all over it. Very interesting. Edwards here and this is a fascinating topic. Really wonder what the truth is?? I do think King H8 got it on with the beautiful Agnes B. and she had his first son, Richard. This was her first child and after KH8th got his friend William Edwards to marry Agnes, they lived in Edwards Hall and she had 2 more boys. We all hope Richard is our Grand-to the 12power father but who knows for sure?? We can only hope BUT has anyone ever thought of inquiring to the Royal Family? Maybe even to an expert historian on the lineage of the Royal Family, legitimate or otherwise?? JR Edwards here and over and out. Inquiring minds want to know.
That other story of the two brothers granted land in Manhattan by the queen and the land eventually being confiscated by the church and the claim ran out of time for the family of the brothers and all is craaazy. We all should have gotten a piece of that, RIGHT!??!
