During the reign of King Henry VIII thyere were many pastimes that could be enjoyed as a way of means of entertainment, for example singing, dancing, playing a musical instrument, performing a sonnet or a masque, jousting, hunting, hawking, falconing, running, swimming, bear batting, playing cards, playing dice and playing chess. They were just some or mainly most of the things that the Tudors liked to do to keep themselves entertained and not to mention last but not least to watch blood being spilled! For example to see a head fall or two, also they liked to torture people too for entertainment. Cruel I know but true!
The above mind you would apply to the rich people who lived then and not the poor, as the poor people would have found other ways and means of enjoying themselves that would not have included half of what the wealthy including the king himself would have enjoyed or even done.

There's also a good book that covers this by Alison Sim which is called, "Pleasures and Pastimes in Tudor England".
