Question from Elen - Info on book "The Private Lives of the Tudor Monarchs"
Hi guys,
I stumbled across a book called "The private lives of the Tudor Monarchs" by Chrsitopher Falkus (it's available on amazon.com).
Has anyone read that book and can recommend it? I'd love to hear what you know about it!
As I recall, it's a collection of letters composed by various Tudor kings and queens -- a book presenting primary sources relating to the personal lives of the dynasty's leading members. Henry VIII's letters to Anne Boleyn are included, for example. There's a brief narrative introduction to each document, but you will be disappointed if you want a more general history with a focus on the details of each monarch's love life.
