I don't know what kind of library access you have, but most university libraries will have books on the history of medicine. Two fairly good books might be Atkinson, "Napier's History of Herbal Healing, Ancient and Modern" and Stephen Porter, "The Great Plague." But if you want something very specific like herbal treatments of plague in Tudor England, you will have to look in specialized journals. For example: 'Two Medieval Plague Treatises and Their Afterlife in Early Modern England' in the Journal of the History of Medicine and Allied Sciences, 58:3 (2003), 292-324. But again, a major university library will have that journal. And almost any junior college or university can get you a copy of the article if you ask them to, though you may have to pay a small fee. There is also a chapter on medical responses to plague in a larger book called "Religion, Health and Suffering" edited by John R. Hinnells and others. The chapter is "Fear, anxiety and the plague in early modern England : religious and medical responses" by Andrew Wear.
