I am a childrens artist looking for tudor period images to add to a collage I am helping a local school (in the UK) to make.
I am looking for examples of boar hunts and any feats/ mealtime images involving a roasted animal on a spit.
Any help would be great as all the children involved have asked me to include this animal and I would like to reproduce an image in line with depiction o fthe period.
Can anyone help?

The best that I can offer would be the idea of a 'google' search for a hunting book which features woodcuts. So often, these books have exactly what you are looking for...a boar roasting on a turn spit, in the woods, surrounded by hunters and their ladies.
