Question from Iona - Jane Seymour biographies

I'd like to read a book on Jane Seymour, but Elizabeth Norton's has such bad reviews. Can anyone recommend one, even if it's a section of a book rather than the whole thing?

Sorry, I can't think of any just devoted to Jane, but Alison Weir's The Six Wives of Henry VIII, Antonia Fraser's The Wives of Henry VIII, and David Starkey's Six Wives: The Queens of Henry VIII are the best three books about the six queens in my opinion. Hope this helps :)

I obtained "Pour the Dark Wine" by Dinah Lampitt that is very good (my persective) on Jane Seymour & her brothers. The first copyright is 1989& published in Great Britain. Don't remember where I bought it but thought it was wonderful. Pat

I think the Elizabeth Norton one has had quite mixed reviews. I really enjoyed it and found it to be well worth a read. It depends what you are looking for. Pamela Gross's book is more scholarly, but very hard to find. I thought Norton's was excellent on the Pilgrimage of Grace and Jane's marriage. She did a good job of describing Jane's role in Anne Boleyn's fall as well.
