I am looking for quotes by Katherine of Aragon, especially in Spanish. I am hoping to find something short and inspirational to get tattooed. Please let me know if you can help me with this!
"Short" could be a problem, since many of the locutions of Catherine's surviving letters and reported statements are convoluted, elaborate and drawn-out by our standards. "Inspirational" could be a problem, too -- most of her remarks, especially during the Divorce, have a strong masochistic flavor.
For example:
"All the God sends is for the best" "Keep your heart with a chaste mind"
but, if you are feeling saucy: "Scandal of Christendom!"
I haven't read anything by her in Spanish (were the letters to her father in Spanish or Latin?), though, so perhaps there may be something more suitable there.

My favorite quote from Katherine is in her last letter: "I make this vow, that mine eyes desire you above all things"
Very pretty, until you realize its about Henry VIII...yuck! lol
My favorite quote by her is:
"Mine eyes desire thee only. Farewell."
it was a letter to her ex-husband, Henry VIII, before she died. They're considered her last words.
I think it's spanish when it's the version:
"Oculi mei te solum desiderant. Vale."
