Hello! I'm living in Australia right now, and we have only just finished the 1st season. I've already seen the first season and have been waiting patiently since it ended in the States. Does anyone know when the second season will be up on iTunes? If at all?
[ed note - I haven't heard anything about when or if the second season will go up... although I'm sure it will at some point... but I thought I would throw it out there in case anyone had any info]
You can always check the official Showtime Channel website for "The Tudors." There are large and very active discussion forums there and your question might be among the topics of discussion. http://www.sho.com/site/tudors/home.do
ReplyDeleteWhen was living in England I couldn't access the Showtime web site. They blocked it based on the ISP address and put up a landing page that said the site was restricted to those in the US.
ReplyDeleteSO, sorry, I don't know when it will go up but probably not till the complete second season has finished airing on Showtime. Another few months?
I don't know if anyone's still talking about this anymore...But for most TV shows, the episodes are available on iTunes not long after they first air. I downloaded the first episode of The Tudors season 2 for free last month...from the Tudors podcast on iTunes. So...you could check the U.S. iTunes and see.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that we tend to assume that everything available on the web in the US is available elsewhere. Showtime has restricted access to their web site outside the US. iTunes also has country specific sites and in order to access the US site you need to have a credit card with a US billing address. (At least that's how it was in December). Additionally there are things available on international versions of iTunes that are not available in the US. Frustrating but....the global economy at work.
ReplyDeleteI live in the US and the second season is not available through itunes as of yet. And there is no information on when it will be available from my research. As for the free first episode, the series premier was available on numerous sites for free in order to increase viewership.
ReplyDeleteMaybe now that the finale has aired, it will be available soon? I'm guessing that if they keep to the same schedule as the first season, it won't be available on DVD until January, so iTunes would be another money-maker for the series in the meantime.
ReplyDeleteNope... Season 2 is still not available on iTunes. So I guess I'll have to buy it on DVD when it comes out and then convert it for my iPod!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame...
Did you ever get this answered? Currently the second season is slated for released the first week of 2009.
