Question from Julia - Translation help

Hello guys!I'm from Poland and I need to translate the text but I have problems to do it:/ this is a fragment of the narrative:"...reding it,the modest frown anxiously, trying to recall the Wars of the Roses and Henry VII’s family tree, forgotten since the third form
(and wasn’t there something about a thornbush?)."
How can I understand a "third form"?as a generation? And how do you understand "thornbush"?Please, help me!!:)

  1. Third form refers to school class, i.e. 3rd year at school.
Thornbush may refer to the fact that the crown belonging to Richard III (killed at Bosworth Field)was found after the battle under (or in) a thornbush
