Question from Easton - Elizabeth on Thomas Seymour's barge

Is it true that Elizabeth Tudor was with Thomas Seymour on admirals barge unccompanied

  1. Elizabeth is said to have been going at night on a barge upon the Thames, to the disapproval of the Duchess of Somerset, but Thomas Seymour isn't named as being on it with her. You can see the deposition that gives the story on page 96 here:

  2. The protectors wife was disapproval that Kat Ashley had allowed Elizabeth to accompany Seymour on an evening trip down the Thames by barge without a chaperon.Deposition on Tudor palace Kat Ashley.
