Other than her potrait, prayer book and letters from Henry VIII, what items of Anne Boleyn still exist and where are they?
[Note - we've had a similar thread before, but I figured it couldn't hurt to throw it out again in case anyone had additional information. Previous thread below]

Apart from the items you have mentioned. The portrait NPG portrait gallery. The Book of Hours in the Britsh library which is on show at the man and monarch exhibit and the love letter that Henry VIII wrote to Anne Boleyn during their seven year courtship before her marraige and queenship which were previously held at the vatican but are now on show at the british library's man and monarch exhibition.
ReplyDeleteA headboard of Anne Boleyns exsists at her familly home of Hever castle in Kent. The headboard is inscribed with her name in capital letters.
The Boleyn familly gold cup which still exists but not in its original form because it was redisigned in her daughter queen Elizabeth's reign. The cup had some changes made to it under queen Elizabeth I.Im not to sure where this is held though but if and when I found out I will let you know.as for he famous B necklace it dosent exist anymore.
I don't know of any other items of Anne Boleyn's that exist unfortunately. I think that her enemies did a really good job of obliterating any evidence of her - but not good enough, as many of us are still fascinated by her!
ReplyDeleteDuring an exhibit at The Tower of London a few years back, which concentrated on those who had kissed the axe, a scarf embroidered by Anne was on display.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember now what sort of information was on the placard...such as where it was usually kept.
