As there haven't been any other responses to your query . . . As far as I know there were no special wedding clothes, certainly not white wedding dresses. Although most brides would have worn their 'best' dress or, if rich enough may have had a new 'best' dress for the occasion which then would have become part of their normal wardrobe. The same for men. As far as customs, these differed by social status.
