Well first you need to give an idea of why people did the crimes then do something about the people who gave the sentences and then how the they gave the punishments

Hello

I think the best place to look is in history textbooks. If you use the Internet, i think the best way to search is to find out the names of some of the punishments that were used in Tudor times - for example, the stocks, the pillory, the ducking stool, flogging, the drunkard's cloak, hanging, beheading and burning at the stake - and search for information on one punishment at a time. So, if you want to find out about burning at the stake, just type "burning at the stake" into a search engine. Don't put the word 'tudor' in as well, because this will severely restict your search and so mean that you miss out on a lot of useful information. Just so long as the search results are about the punishments as they were carried out in England, the information will be true of the Tudor period. I think that you get more information this way than if you type in more general queries like 'tudors "crime and punishment"'. If you want to see pictures, try lookandlearn.com. This site has detailed pictures of the stocks and pillory, the ducking stool, burning at the stake, hanging, beheading, and the drunkard's cloak. It also has two detailed pages of pictures and text on crime and punishment during the Tudor period. If you want more information, just email me at anisha_karthik1975@yahoo.co.in. Good luck with your project, and feel free to email me if you'd like any more information.

Best wishes

Anisha
